Igor Levit ist ein russisch-deutscher Pianist. Sein Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Aufführung von Werken von Beethoven, Bach und Busoni. Im Jahr 2019 wurde er auf eine Professur an der Musikhochschule Hannover berufen. Igor Levit wurde von Gramophone zum Künstler des Jahres 2020 gewählt und war für einen Grammy in der Kategorie "Best Classical Instrumental Solo" nominiert.

Zwischen Teilen des Interviews wird Igor Levit einige Klavierstücke darbieten.

Igor Levit est un pianiste russo-allemand. Il se concentre principalement sur l'interprétation d'œuvres de Beethoven, Bach et Busoni. En 2019, il a été nommé à une chaire de professeur à la Musikhochschule de Hanovre. Igor Levit a été nommé artiste de l'année 2020 par Gramophone et a été nommé pour un Grammy dans la catégorie "Meilleur solo instrumental classique."

Classical music star Igor Levit in conversation with Jaap Nico Hamburger

Igor Levit is a Russian-German pianist. He primarily focuses on performance of works by Beethoven, Bach, and Busoni. In 2019, he was appointed to a professorship at the Musikhochschule Hannover. Igor Levit was named Gramophone's 2020 Artist of the Year and was nominated for a Grammy in the category "Best Classical Instrumental Solo."

Jaap Nico Hamburger is the current composer in residence with Mécénat Musica in Montréal. His compositions have been performed and recorded with l'Orchestre Metropolitain de Montreal, Ensemble Caprice and Vancouver’s Turning Ensemble. He is also a Clinical Professor of Medicine and previously practiced as Interventional Cardiologist.

The interview will be interspersed with Igor Levit's piano performances.
